So, my friend recently passed on link to an intersting article. It’s got some fun quotes from different photographers. It’s an interesting read and it kinda gives you an idea of how much work your wedding photographer really does. Although, I’d say this also applies to portrait photographers.

Friday, December 11th, 2009UPDATE, BLOG CHANGES, BRANDING CHANGES & PHOTO EXCHANGE! | SEATTLE PHOTOGRAPHER
Tuesday, December 8th, 2009Soooo, as you may have noticed, I’ve got the flash working on this bad boy! It took a while, cauze I’m not used to editing WordPress layouts and I got a bit confused. AND also, it took a while for me to figure out Flash. Whoops! That flash slideshow is only temporary. I just got tired of seeing a blank spot there. At least this is something to look at!
Anywho, I am obviously making some changes in the design and look of the blog. I just recently had an exclusive set of digital papers made by the lovely Terry of Sassy Designs, Ltd. She’s wonderful! And soooo creative with her designs. I fell in love with her designs the first time I ever saw them! And when I found out that she does custom work, I had to contact her immediately! I will be posting many many new marketing/branding designs using her design elements and also the custom papers that she created for uneekstylez. I’m so excited! Here is the paper pack she’s designed for us:
Pretty, aren’t they? I think so! I <3 them!
So, look for upcoming posts with previews of the new designs for our branding/marketing.
And now…for the Photo Exchange!
So, Michelle from Michelle Kane Photography has paired me up to do a photo exchange with Kim Fuerth from Ontario, Canada. We exchanged photos last week. She has chosen photo “C” from my image board. This is her vision and artistic take of my photo:
(The image, straight out of camera.)
(Kim’s edit.)
I usually either go for straight black and white, sepia, or vibrant and bouncy colors with my edits and so it’s surprising (in a good way, of course!) to see my image being taken in a new and totally different direction than I would normally go. I like how Kim has added a sort of grunge/urban feel to the image.
As I said before, I love vibrant and bouncy colors, so it was only natural for me to make the green background pop a bit. But not so much that it takes the focus off the lovely young lady.
I had so much fun doing this. I hope I get to do more in the future!
PHOTO EXCHANGE! | SEATTLE PHOTOGRAPHER
Monday, November 23rd, 2009Michelle over at Michelle Kane Photography has started this thing called the “Photo Exchange.” It’s an opportunity for photographers to exchange photos with other photographers to edit and showcase their own style on other photographer’s work. I thought it was an interesting idea. It would give me a chance to see how someone else’s artistic style in editing could take my image in a whole other direction than I would take it. So, I made an image board of potential images that other photographer’s can edit. These images are SOOC (straight out of camera).

It won’t start until after Thanksgiving. But I’m excited!
